Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Sideline Squares. The app is run by Beach Break Apps (currently operating as Welcome To Bowling LLC), St. Petersburg, Florida ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. We've kept them in plain English.

What Sideline Squares is

• A free-to-play app for running sports contests with friends — squares, pools, pick'em, survivor, brackets, golf and racing games.
• Contests are scored in points only. There are no entry fees, no cash prizes and no payouts.
• Players never pay to play. The only things for sale are optional host plans.

Hosts

• Hosts create and run contests and are responsible for running them fairly, including confirming winners and fixing scores.
• Hosts must not use the app to collect money or pay prizes. Side arrangements involving money are prohibited and are not supported by the app in any way.
• Host changes after numbers are drawn or picks lock are shown to everyone in the contest's activity feed.

Host plans and payments

• Optional host plans — Event Pass, Season Pass and Host Pro — are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay.
• Host Pro renews automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Settings → My plan; it stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Event and Season Passes cover one contest. Once used, a pass stays used even if that contest is later deleted.
• Refunds are available by request at our discretion. Contact us at beachbreakapps@gmail.com.

Scores and results

Schedules and scores come from third-party data feeds. They can be delayed, missing or wrong. Hosts can correct results for their own contests, and the host's confirmation decides winners.

Acceptable use

Other players see your nickname. If you leave your nickname blank, they see the name you entered. Your email is never shown to other players.

• Don't use the app for gambling, betting or anything illegal.
• Don't harass other people, impersonate anyone, or post offensive names or messages.
• Don't try to break, overload or get around the app's security or rules.

Accounts and termination

Keep your sign-in secure. You can delete your account any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, including contests used to collect or pay money.

No warranty and limits on liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, or problems caused by score feeds, hosts or other users. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us for host plans in the last 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a big change, we'll post it here with a new date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
